PHYTOSANITARY CERTIFICATION AND IMPORT VERIFICATION PROCEDURES

Target audience
This course is developed for phytosanitary inspectors and lab technicians who are already working in this area.  It is expected that they have basic understanding of inspection work.

Course Objectives

  • To understand relevant international treaties and their impact on application of phytosanitary measures
  • To understand national, regional and international phytosanitary procedures and standards including their application;
  • To increase knowledge of key international standards and an understanding of the concepts, obligations and responsibilities of the NPPOs.

Entry Requirements
The minimum entry requirement for this course is a diploma or relevant experience in agricultural sciences
